Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
The fighting spirit. Contend with my opponents, O LORD; fight against those who fight against me. My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride many are attacking me. Defend my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your word. Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.
I Hear the LORD say: I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. Your enemies will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you. Yes, the LORD will fight for you! But you must fight to walk in the newness of life God in Christ has prepared for you. Don't give up, don't ever give up! Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. So Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us. Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.” You coming with me?
