Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
Commend yourself to God. We work together with God, and we are called to make good use of God's gift of undeserved grace. In the Scriptures God says, "When the time came, I listened to you, and when you needed help, I came to save you." That time has come. This is the day for you to be saved. So we must live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our personal ministry. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way. Yes, in everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. And this as we patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. God’s kindness is a free gift. So we must not try to do something to get salvation. Lets not waste our chance to be made new because of sin and pride. Another day might be too late. Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. We don't do shameful things that must be kept secret. And we don't try to fool anyone or twist God's message around. God is our witness that we speak only the truth, so others will be sure we can be trusted. Commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth. What a precious gift of the Gospel we have, lets join in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.
