Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

Lovers of self. Be careful you do not love your self more than God. Your self worth comes from Christ Himself on the Cross, being purchased by his blood. He died for you to stop living for yourself and to live for Him. He covered your nakedness and shame with his wool and linen. But it is for his glory and not our own, do not allow self righteousness to fester. The LORD will expose those who think to highly of themselves, those who are lovers of themselves only. Look out for the interests of others, that's what matters to Jesus our LORD. No one should seek his own good, but the good of others. In this world people only look after themselves and their money. Boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They consider nothing sacred. Unloving and unforgiving; they slander others and have no self-control. They are cruel and hate what is good. Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. True love of self is not rude and self seeking. It is not easily angered and keeps not account of wrongs. This is the pure of love of God that we should love ourselves with. You do not need more self help, look upon Christ he is our greatest covering and help. Instead, we should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. As we grow together, Jesus is building up love in us so that when we look in the mirror we say Jesus your beautiful in me. I am a lover of you.
