Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
The sound of silence is deafening. There are so many words that need to be said but die in the silence of our own hearts and minds. Desire was there, but darkness our old friend showed up and took the light of our inspiration. Look, I see so many people talking without speaking. So many people hearing without listening. People writing songs that voices never shared. No one dared to disturb the silence and words went by the wayside into the abyss of darkness. The Word of God still speaks today even in the darkness of evil. Its Light shines bright like words off a page. If only we would be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. God would so tear down the walls of silence around our hearts and we would hear his voice so much clearer. In a world where there is so much noise around us, God can still be heard the whispers of the heart. If you were to stand in a mighty windstorm with such a terrible blast that rocks were torn loose, yet you may say the LORD is not in the wind. Even in a mighty earth quake with such a grand entrance of raw power and destruction, yet you still may say the LORD is not there. Oh but God burns such a passionate fire in mankind putting eternity in there hearts. Its in the midst of that fire where we want to be known and have meaning and purpose. Listen close as the fire of Holy Spirit crackles within. Its not in the fire but in the whispers of your heart that the sound of heaven touches earth! Break the silence between you and God today. Open up to God and to each other the Living Word and know life eternal. Be done with silence and hear the words of faith in you. Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. He speaks so loudly in his word, have you heard from Him lately or ever? Long ago God spoke to our early fathers in many different ways. He spoke through the early preachers. But in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son Jesus.
