Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. King David said these words a long time ago and they ring true still today. The Holy Spirit has been poured out so generously through the power of the Gospel. Rich or poor, nation or creed, male or female, no matter who you are you have the Spirit of Christ living inside of you. If you believed in the LORD Jesus Christ, you will be saved. Why? His blood shed for us on the Cross has given us new life to live in the Spirit. To walk in the newness of life now and in the eternal life yet to come! Yes, the Spirit of Christ has come to live inside us and make us a new creation. Think about this: Before Christ came the Holy Spirit could not strive with all mankind. The Holy Spirit came on certain people in measure and they did amazing things for the LORD. People like King David would yearn for God's presence to be close when he felt distant. He would say please don't take your Spirit away from me LORD. Look at King Saul who was so distraught from not having Gods Spirit poured on him like in the past, he would go into fits of rage. David would come soothe his heart with the Spirit of God living in him. I pray today that we who are abundant in the grace of Holy Spirit in our lives would draw closer to Him. Seeking a deep restoring to the joy of our salvation making us more willing to obey the word of God in Christ. That we would feel miserable like David felt when Holy Spirit seems quenched in us. Or in the guilt of our sins, we would feel the grieving of Holy Spirit in us. Imagine our faith if we could hear and feel The Spirit of Christ clearer more than ever before? Oh then, we could teach transgressors The LORD's ways, and sinners will return to Him! Praise God! But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Amen. The blood of Jesus flows forgiveness for all and Holy Spirit for all to come and know Him who is eternal life.
