Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

Yielding is different than just waiting. While we are waiting on God and his promises let us not lose the passion of pursuing Gods heart. Many times while we wait we lose the joy of our salvation. There are so many things God wants to do in us and through us but we are just not ready for it. We have not yielded enough to his presence and wisdom in our lives. We need that personal experience and that alone time with God through our tribulations and trials. Learning to not just be obedient to the things of God but to be submissive and allow God to change our hearts in the process. As we yield to Holy Spirit He makes us servants to righteousness unto holiness. I am always amazed how God works all things together for our good, yes even through the daily grind of life's circumstances he is still faithful. His strength is always perfect when we yield to Him. I can't tell you how many times the things I wanted so badly actually became a blessing to not ever receive it. Praise God, the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield. As we yield to the Spirit, allowing Him full control of our lives, we will see the fruit of the Spirit being produced in us, and we can look forward to a harvest of righteousness and peace. Wait patiently for the LORD. again I say, wait on the LORD! The wicked man earns an empty wage, but he who sows righteousness reaps a true reward. May that true reward being knowing God more intimately and passionately in Christ. I see so many people at Gods yield sign just waiting and not pursuing.
