Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

I see a sheep stuck in the mud crying to be free. There is no one around to help it out. The wolves are caving in and the night is drawing near. This sheep has been alone for some time now. It wandered into the valley and lost touch with the flock of sheep it was in. Little by little it strayed even from the voice of its Master The Great Shepherd. Just like the sheep knows the voice of its Shepherd so the Shepherd knows the voice of its sheep. At the sound of the sheep's cry and even with the howling of the wolves, the Shepherd heard its cry. And like a Father running towards his prodigal son so the Shepherd runs after his lost sheep stuck in the mud. With staff in hand he reaches out to the tired sheep bringing it close to his chest. The wolves were so close that they could taste the guilt and shame. But the Great Shepherd beat them away with holy vengeance as they retreated with their tales between their legs. The sheep is shocked and in awe with the joy of its salvation. Knowing it was lost and far away but never far away from the Great Shepherd. It made the sheep think that even when far from the flock, the Shepherd never loses his eye for me. If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. For God watches how people live; he sees everything they do.
