Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

Bow down. I am always fascinated by the story of the three Hebrews that would not bow there knee to the statue of King Nebuchadnezzar. Yes, this wicked king demanded worship but really he just wanted allegiance. This was a pagan society with a myriad of beliefs I'm sure. But religions got so intermeshed that King Nebuchadnezzar actually declared Himself worthy of worship to the people in the land. Basically a forcing upon all people to submit to current authority, beliefs, and culture. Majority rule was in place and everyone was to bow down to the status quo. I am sure these three Hebrews saw the depravity of this nation and how evil it was getting. I am sure they saw many wicked things that were happening and they were grieved at it. Praying for God to save them in the midst of this wicked nations downfall. The demanded worship was just the cherry on top for them to stand up and not bow down to the evil of there day. Demanded worship can happen little by little as a country and nation begins to compromise there morals. Not realizing there left hand from there right hand people begin a freefall into sin and degradation of society. They start to worship creation instead of their maker glorying themselves. I think I now understand why these three men did not bow. It was no longer about honoring the King and seeking peace in the land where they were held captive at. It was about living for God and standing for his truth. I see that more than ever even now in our day and life, little by little with each sin and pulling away from Gods truth. We will one day be demanded to worship and agree with every evil in the name of democracy. To bow down and cave in the pressures of majority rule. Pray for the peace of your nation and prosperity that comes from keeping Gods laws and commandments. For one day all will be held accountable, both government and its people. And on that day there will be not one person left standing, even the devil himself will bow down. For all will kneel before the LORD and King Jesus Christ. For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”

His Kingdom come and his will be done.
