Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Last shall be first. The best and worst of man is reflected in the race track of life. In the natural we strive for first place always, nothing wrong with that. Where there is a first place there is a last place. We keep record of that as well in sports racing and other competition. I love that Jesus said in Heaven many who are first will be last, and the last will be first. He also said of the faith of the Centurion: And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world from east and west and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. Think about this, there will be so many people that had so much injustice happen to them. They should have finished first but ended up last because of much life circumstances and trials. Imagine the Great Banquet in Heaven as Jesus calls the blessed saints of old and to the front near Him. These precious saints that gave their all for the Gospel. Inviting the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Those who could not repay but Christ paid it all, repaid at the resurrection of the righteous! He will call those precious souls who were told to stand in the back or to sit down at the low footstool. To come sit at a seat of honor and the enjoy the Presence of the King Jesus.
Come receive a Kingdom prepared for you since the foundations of the world. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
