Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
I can’t imagine what it would be like to not be able to hear with my own ears. Or to not be able to see with my own eyes. Or to not to be able to touch or smell the goodness of God! In a world that is so richly filled with the Presence of God. Yes, the earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea! Everything shines and reflects the beauty and character of the LORD! Listen, I can hear the sound of birds chirping praise but I cannot hear the voice of my Father? Look, I see the horizon on an ocean blue but I can’t see the radiant Face of my Savior? Oh how sweet is the honeycomb on my tongue but I can’t taste and see that the LORD is good? And the feel on my hands of droplets of waters as I run through a rain storm but I can’t feel the heart beat of heaven in my chest? It never ceases to amaze me when I see people that have lost some of these senses in the physical world how they live productive lives. What they lack in vision they make up for it in hearing. And what they lack in hearing they make up for it by touch. And what they cannot touch they see and touch deeper with there eyes. It is the LORD that makes the seeing eyes see and the hearing ears to hear. Will He not give sight to blind minds and deaf hearts? Will He not give the fragrance of His Spirit to rotted out lives? And will He not touch the faithless and remind them of his faithfulness? Oh LORD give me eyes to see and ears to hear in a world that tries to pretend you don’t exist. I want to know you Jesus and taste your goodness even this land of the living. Touch my life, and it will be whiter than snow. Smoother than honey from the honeycomb. The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.
