Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

Angry at God. Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion? There are things you are angry about, people you are angry with, but really you are angry at God. Yes, many people ruin themselves by their own stupid actions and then blame the Lord. I think of Adam when he bit the fruit and God came to see why He disobeyed. Adam replied to him, this woman you gave me she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it. He was blaming the LORD for his failures. I also think of Job who desperately wanted to know why such horrific things were happening to him. His close friends blamed him for what happened, even his wife said to curse God and die. Job and his wife were suffering with no relief in sight, angry at the situation and angry with God. Sadly, tragedies bring home the awful truth that we are not in charge. All of us think at one time or another that we can control the outcomes of situations, but in reality it is God who is in charge of all of His creation. Everything that happens is either caused by or allowed by God. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Hear me out: Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble. And daily we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with spiritual principalities in high places. We are angry with certain people or certain things in our lives and we blame God for allowing this mistreatment and suffering. Our anger with God comes down to do we trust God with everything, our very lives and the lives of our loved ones? When tragedies happen to us, we know God can use them to bring us closer to Him and to strengthen our faith, bringing us to maturity and completeness. Daily making it easier to trust Him to get us through the next tragedy that most certainly will take place. Our only peace is to trust in Gods holy character and word. To be angry but still not sin against your neighbor by holding a grudge. And to not sin against God by not keeping his word in our heart. Make peace with God today in Christ. Say, I will chose to remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember his miracles of long ago. He has been good to me even in his anger and discipline.
