Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
For so many days of our lives we lived with the sword of offense in our hearts and minds. But Jesus came and pulled it out from within our soul so deep. We cried mercy, no LORD! Leave it in, I am not worthy of your sacrifice. Leave me here and let me die in my sin and shame. But you persist Jesus to pull out the sword of offense. We are free from walking around with this huge log in our eyes of faith. We are free to have a whole life again and pursue a new heart with new desires to know You. Like David holding the head of Goliath so does Jesus hold the sword of offense over us in victory over our sin and the flesh! He calls us from death to life with a new living heart that feels HIs weighty presence. We had become dead and dull, but now we feel our hearts beat again. Christ has taken our offense and given us a holy integrity through the gift of faith in Him. And no one can take away this joy from us. The sword in our stony heart has been loosed and now heavens blessings have been loosed over us! We were dead because of our sins and because our sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made us alive with Christ, and he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
