You can get it if you really want it. Yes, if you look for God wholeheartedly, you will find Him in Christ.
But you must try, try and try, try and try. And you'll succeed at last. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened unto you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Persecution you must fear, win or lose you got to get your share of the Kingdom. You got your mind set on a dream and you can get it though hard it may seem right now. You can get it if you really want it. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Rome was not built in a day and opposition will come your way. But the hotter the spiritual battle you see the sweeter the joyous victory it will be! Again, you can get it if you really want. The question is and always was, do you really want Jesus or do you want all these things? If its God than all things will be added unto you in due time. But if its the other, I guess you prayed amiss because your motives were all wrong and you wanted only what will give you pleasure. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward you will ever get. Instead of seeking to know God and wanting the gift of Holy Spirit. You gave up on the truth about God for a lie, and instead worshipped God's creation instead of God, who will be praised forever. Amen. On the day of judgment many will call Jesus their Lord. They will say, "We preached in your name, and in your name we forced out demons and worked many miracles." Then Jesus will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
