Text yourself. A modern way of encouraging yourself in the LORD. When those you have loved leave you taking their support with them, encourage yourself. When your family misunderstands you and your friends disown you, encourage yourself. When those who have been by your closest side decide that you are to blame for their problems and pain, encourage yourself. And this maybe in the form of a text, texting yourself all the things God has given you victory over. Recall the memories of God working in your life to see how far you have come. Though your father and mother forsake you, The LORD never will. He has given us an upward calling and a mission to live from, having new meaning and purpose. A new passion to have personal intimacy with God in Christ and not worry about pleasing people. Reward yourself today with a text to yourself. Sounds weird to encourage yourself, but doing in the LORD there is nothing better. Relax from the daily pressure of expectations facing you. Rest in the Lord's goodness and in his peaceful grace. And find new strength in the presence of the LORD and his might. So let us not waver through unbelief regarding the promises of God. In fact, let our faith grow stronger through every trial and tribulation bringing glory to God. Praise God! Jesus lives in us! He strengthens us and encourages us in the power of Holy Spirit. Encourage yourself in this.
