Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

I want to be just like you Jesus. I climb into my Heavenly Fathers lap for a goodnight hug in prayer. He calls me Bub and I call Him Abba. With my faded old bible tucked in close and a warm blanket I snuggle up close and say to Him, "I want to be Holy just like you Abba!" Yes LORD, I want to be just like Jesus, being a holy example for innocent eyes to see. A living Bible that others can read. But I got to admit I've got so far to go.

I have made so many mistakes and I'm sure that you know Abba. Sometimes it seems no matter how hard I try

with all the pressures in life I just can't get it all right. I'm trying so hard to learn from the best being patient and kind filled with your tenderness. I know others will learn from the Jesus they see in me. Right now from where others see me stand I may seem mighty tall, but it's only because I'm learning from the best father of them all. I hear my Heavenly Father say to me I am His beloved as He avoids tripping over the mess I have made throughout the day. Kissing me on my forehand telling me everything is going to be ok. To not worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have had enough to worry about today. Be of good courage, here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because Jesus has overcome the world. Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you. Then your face will brighten with innocence. You will be strong and free of fear. You will forget your misery; it will be like water flowing away. Your life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning. Go rest safely and securely, filled with hope and emptied of worry. Son, you are always with me, everything I have is yours.
