Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

The Nephilim spirit. The Nephilim were mysterious beings or people in the Hebrew Bible who were large and strong. The word Nephilim is loosely translated as giants in some translations of the Hebrew Bible, but left untranslated in others. Jewish explanations interpret them as hybrid sons of fallen angels. I don't want to debate theology about these people but I do want to show the power of the Gospel through the Spirit of Christ. In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilim lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times. The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Spirit of God could not put up with humans for such a long time, for they were only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan would decrease and be no more than 120 years. The LORD was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. The Nephilim spirit made mankind strong in might but very wicked at heart. Contrast that with the out pouring of Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. The life of Christ filling lives with spirit and life not to make bad people good, but to make dead people live! The Nephilim spirit was all about evil angels having there way with an already broken humanity because of their sin and rebellion. And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. The Nephilim lived for many years and became more wicked over time. In contrast, the Spirit of Christ has been redeeming and saving souls with limited time, even on death beds. Oh the power of righteousness by faith through grace! The light of the Gospel shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not understood it.
