Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

Steal your heart. The enemy wants to steal your heart away from God. The same way a person would steal a heart away from someone’s spouse. Little by little pleasing there flesh and being there in there most toughest times. A heart can be stolen when affirmation is lacking in someone’s life. When someone is not being listened to and heard. When needs are not being met and someone else meets those need. It’s that thrill of sin that moves you away from God and into the pleasures of this life. The desires of sin rot from the inside out. To the point where you can be in worship at church and your heart be far from Christ. God wants your heart, that is why Jesus died to give you a new heart. A heart able to pursue truth and righteousness. But sin keeps our hearts lukewarm and we lose that gift of fiery passion to know God. Jesus wants to be known and He calls us to live by faith in pursuit of him. He will reward us with every spiritual blessing if we would keep the eyes of our hearts on him. But the hearts of people are fickle and constantly divided. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. Come close to God, and he will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Look! The divided heart commits adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under God’s curse. Oh how the stolen heart hurts in shame and guilt! The enemy of our souls produces sin and death and leaves the sinner in the pit of their consequences. The LORD is Jealous for you. He wants you back bad. Yes, the LORD Jesus still loves you, even though you have turned to other gods and love to worship them. He has purchased you back with his own flesh and blood. Hear Him say to you: I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.
