Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
If you real love someone that means you truly know them. God desired that in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. Scripture says they were both naked before God and each other and neither were ashamed. Think about this now, sin has caused us to hide away in shame and to cover our nakedness like Adam and Eve did. But we were meant to have open and naked communication between God and Humanity. The greatest gift that Jesus offers us in the Gospel is to truly know God. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. Yes, to know God fully naked in soul and be unashamed is of the highest privilege we get as sons and daughters of God! We lost that in the garden but it has been restored through the Righteousness of Christ in us. God made us to be relational beings and to know right from wrong. Then the LORD God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!” Humanity bit the fruit without even taking the time know God eternal and to trust in this new world. Betrayed by a piece of fruit, God showed love first by making skin coverings that came with a promise of salvation. He would give Humanity a chance to know Him through the Son Jesus Christ. Listen, to truly love some one you have to take the time to know them. Scripture says that Adam knew his wife Eve. And that meant sex in every way you think of it. So many people use sex as the confirmation of love instead of the consummation of it. There is so much more I want to say, but will take more writings and posts. I feel led to keep expounding on this. To be continued for tomorrow. Here is a tease for tomorrow: Jesus was betrayed with a kiss! Oh love! It's such a holy and sacred thing.
