Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Betrayed by a kiss. I dare to say that true virginity can be lost with a kiss. Yes, by the time you get to the sensual and physical act of love, a kiss has started its eye opening love, its energy of passion, and as well in many cases guilt and shame. I wonder if the betrayal of Judas felt the same way in Gods heart when Adam and Eve took that first bite? Oh the pain of sin and death, and what it does to the hearts of humanity. Imagine God who walked in the cool of the garden with humanity now because of sin having to separate Himself from his creation. The pull on the heart of humanity from God was not enough to strive with man after generation after generation of sin and death. God had to become more intimate with man. Having to know them more so that we would be able to know Him more. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testing's we do, yet he did not sin. God took the form of flesh to become intimate with humanities ways to give them victory over sin and right relationship with God. So In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross! For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This was God's answer to fallen humanity. Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save the world through Him. True love is knowing someone intimately and personally. God did that on the Cross for you and for me. I think I have one more in me LORD willing, to close with powerful climax. No pun intended. A teaser for tomorrow: God is holy and he wants us to be holy like Him As we draw nigh to him he will draw nigh to us in with Holy Spirit and our spirit uniting. That's real intimacy, I will let the Apostle Paul explain that tomorrow.
