Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
When I can't hear you Father and its seems you are far away. I listen for my neighbors cry for help. Man, I hear you so clearly now. I am my brothers keeper. If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother he has seen cannot love the God he has not seen. And we have this command from him: The one who loves God must also love his brother and sister. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. Amen. Hear the LORD Jesus say, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Yes, come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me. Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need. And if we have all we need and see one of our own people in need, we must have pity on that person, or else we cannot say we love God. My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don't do anything to show you really do have faith? Can this kind of faith save you? If you know someone who doesn't have any clothes or food, you shouldn't just say, "I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat." What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help? Faith that doesn't lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead! It gets harder and harder to hear from the LORD as you turn farther and farther away from your neighbor in need.
