Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man
Unanswered prayer. I remember asking my earthly father so many questions about life. There were so many things he was right about that I wish I could thank him now. Things at the time I was constantly arguing with him about, even getting angry and disrespectful. He lived longer than me and had more experience than me in the same challenges as a human being. It's so hard to be patient and listen to sound advice when you think you know it all. How much more Jesus, He is our High Priest and understands our weaknesses. He faced all of the same testing's we do, yet he did not sin. Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. He modeled for us a prayer life of trusting the Father daily for his needs and concerns. Above all, Jesus prayed for the Fathers Will to be done. Even in unanswered prayer, where Jesus prayed for the cup to be removed and it was not. Trusting in the Father even unto death. He knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust. This is why Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. The LORD wants us to live our lives based on the foundation of the Word of God. Because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. Amen. But more than unanswered prayer, Gods will is our sanctification. Keeping us strong to the end so that we will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God is faithful, who has called us into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. When unanswered prayers come, we are called to remain seated with Christ and trusting in the promises of God. During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. And we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. Amen. You are heard even in unanswered prayer. As we daily submit to God our hearts and lives. We have peace in knowing that He hears and knows what is best for our lives. Even in suffering, God can be trusted. One day in eternity Abba will sit us on his lap and show us the things we thought were unanswered prayers and were actually a blessing in disguise.
