Proverbs of a 40 yr old man

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born, she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So, it is with those with whom are born again in Jesus. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Now is your time of grief, but we will soon see Jesus again and will rejoice, and no one will take away our joy. Though this life and transformation feels like labor pains, we must continue until Christ is fully developed in our lives. And when Christ, who is our life, is revealed to the whole world, we will share in all his glory. All of creation waits with eager longing for God to reveal his children. Creation was subjected to frustration but not by its own choice. The one who subjected it to frustration did so in the hope that creation itself would one day be set free from its slavery to decay and would share the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. There is much pain in suffering but look what your giving birth too!

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
