Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
A godless worldview. A good definition of worldview is the overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world. Its the sum total of our beliefs about the world. We all have a worldview, it consists of certain parts, and leads to real-life actions. We now live in a time and age where we are progressively getting into a godless worldview. Its permeating into our politics, government, and society. And worse, its getting into the hearts and minds and morals of people. Even believers are acting religious, but they reject the power that could make them godly. They are to reject irreverent, silly myths. Instead, they are to train themselves for godliness. I dare say without God we cease to exist! The human race has been at a slow decline sin the Fall of Adam and Eve. They were suppose to die instantly because of there sin. But by the grace of God in Christ they lived and each generation after has tried to make sense of the world they are born into. Many have chosen to follow God and his plan of salvation. Others made their own worldviews and were consumed in their pride and power. Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint. People are destroyed because the lack of knowledge. Like Adam and Eve we have all bitten from the forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. And we have all been lead astray by our own wicked desires believing in lies and delusions not from God. Even demons believes in God and tremble. Yet sinful humanity has known God but they still won't worship him as God or even give him thanks. They began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. In these final days, God has spoken to us through his Son. He promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. Amen. Look! There is a generation of those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers. Those who are pure in their own eyes and yet unwashed of their filth. They commit adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under God’s curse. A godless worldview is like the way of an adulteress: she eats and wipes her mouth and says, “I’ve done nothing wrong.” For she cares nothing about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it. Beware of godless teaching, for the lips of the adulterous generation drips honey, and their speech is smoother than oil; but in the end it is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword.
