Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. Prove yourself to be person that puts the word of God into practice. Prove that you obey Gods principles, instructions and his precepts. And that you don't just listen to the word but you internalize its meaning. Learning the letter of the law as well as the spirit of the law. Understanding in growing in the law of love, the law of Christ. Everyone who hears the words of Jesus and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against your spiritual house, you won’t collapse because your are building a faith on the solid bedrock of Gods living word. By obeying Gods word and submitting your will to Jesus, you will start to live in a total rest that only Jesus can give to the soul and body. His burden is light and his yoke is easy. He brings a special rest and relief to those with the constant striving of perfection and labor. You then start to experience this supernatural peace in the midst of earthly chaos, even within your body of death you begin to have rest from wicked desires that would rule over you. You live and stay in the life of the Spirit enjoying the fruit thereof. Where relationship with Jesus keeps you at a place of perfect peace, patient, loving, long suffering, and joyfulness. Amen. There is a rest that God in Christ gives to the enslaved soul. That when the Son sets you free you are free indeed, able to live a life that bears fruit in and out of season. Before you were just full of empty leaves, hiding your nakedness and sorrow having no fruit of repentance to give. But now Jesus has pruned us, revived us, and renewed us! To where even in the dry and weary place we have a harvest of righteousness available to us. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like the trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. Although a wicked person who commits a hundred crimes may live a long time, I know that it will go better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Amen. The Word of God will produce a peaceable fruit of righteousness if we continue to be a doer of the word.
