Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
Prayer is not preparation for battle, it is the battle. It is so easy to face the day ahead of us without prayer. To trust in our own intuition and what we see with our own eyes. Prayer becomes less and less important as we come against the battles of the day. We must realize that prayer is where the battle needs to be fought first. The challenges that come our way are not merely flesh and blood. They are evil powers and principalities that use the things around us to steal, kill, and destroy. The things we are failing in get thrown into our face. The failures of our past the enemy will use through loved ones to discourage us. Trials come and the enemy wants us to doubt Gods love. We must take the time to battle pray and not be so negative and angry. Pray to win and and not just survive. We are victorious in Christ, we should be pray like that. The battle is to be fought on your knees so that God can work through your submission to Him. So many people want what they don't have, and will do anything to get it. Even kill! But they still cannot get what they want, and will not get it by fighting and arguing. You should pray for it. The battle is the LORD's since its fought in the spiritual anyway. It is by Gods power and might and Holy Spirit that we can get any victory. Prayer is where we must put our strategy and focus on. Claiming the blood of Jesus and allowing Holy Spirit to burn holy fire within. To grow our faith and endurance, and to actually on the attack using the Sword of the Spirit sharply in Jesus name. Here is something else I have learned: The fastest runners and the greatest heroes don't always win races and battles. Wisdom, intelligence, and skill don't always make you healthy, rich, or popular. We each have our own share of misfortune. None of us know when we might fall victim to a sudden disaster and find ourselves like fish in a net or birds in a trap. This is why prayer time needs to be where we put on the armor of Christ and fight the good fight of faith. So when difficulties come, and they will come. We are prepared in prayer, battle tested in prayer, able to handle every situation by the word of God. Saying it is written not to every temptation and trial. But it is written on our hearts, marked by the seal of Holy Spirit. True seasoned warriors of faith for Jesus to use in which ever way He sees fit.
