Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
People who make evil plans are lying in their hearts. People who work for peace have joy in their hearts. You cannot see a person’s heart or mind. However, you can understand their thoughts if you look at their behavior. Yes, you will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but in their hearts they harbor deceit. Think about this: Whoever is wicked covets the spoil of evildoers, but the root of the righteous bears fruit. Amen. A godly person is like a tree that grows properly from its roots. They are strong because they trust in God. They have an unquenchable joy in there hearts that bears the peaceable fruit of righteousness in there lives. Jesus is our peace and our living hope. His Word is a tree of life in us bearing fruit for every season of life. The plans of the wicked, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes.
