Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
Love for your Word. LORD, give us a love for your Word, yes your Living Word. Give us a consuming fire from within to love your Word again. Help us to have that first love passion to know the Word and the Word to know us. To allow the Sword of the Word to cut our hearts and consume our flesh away so that we can live in Spirit and Life. Help us Jesus to the read your Word so that we can grow in the wisdom of your Great Salvation.
Long ago I learned from Your testimonies that You have established them forever. The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever. Forever God you are holy and your Word is holy, righteous, and true. In the beginning you were the Word, and you the Living Word was with God, and you the Living Word are God. Amen. Teach us how to abide in your Word. We know if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. Amen. As we read your Word oh God please transform our hearts and minds into the image of Christ so that when we walk by faith, we are walking according to your Will in your Word. So look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark. As we read the Word we are the receiving the light of life to be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Oh the power of Christs Marvelous Light!
