Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
Gutless. The trait of lacking courage and determination; fearful of loss or injury. There are alot of gutless people in this world. I was one of them for so long. I was weak to the power of sin in my life and allowed did evil in the sight of God. I excused sin away by saying if there is a God he doesn't care, or I am better than most people. I became a gutless or guiltless person. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. Sin's delusion had me living my own truth at the expense of what is absolute truth. I couldn't help it. Succumbing to societal pressure to be something else. This mentality excuses many sins and character flaws as innate and inescapable. To live your truth is to live guilt-free while doing what brings you happiness, not letting anyone influence the authentic self. While that thinking may work in a wicked and perverse generation, it will not work for a Holy God that shed his blood to free humanity from sin and death. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. No more deny sin and guilt the more it destroy our minds and lives. We must accept that we are sinners saved by grace and stop living gutless lives. So many people are afraid to live for God because they love darkness instead. Doing only what feels good in the moment instead of what Gods Word says. Hear the LORD say today: Don't be afraid or ashamed and don't be discouraged. You won't be disappointed. Forget how sinful you were when you were young; stop feeling ashamed for being left a widow. I will swallow up death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face and remove the disgrace of His people from the whole earth. For the LORD has spoken. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. Amen. May Holy Spirit rests on us daily as we learn through obedience how to come up out of our sins and walk in the newness of life. Because of guiltless people having a form of godliness but denying the power that could make them godly, there is no fear of God before their eyes. The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech He hate. The enemy of our souls goes around like a roaring lion devouring who can with sin and death. Killing,stealing, and destroying in the name of fleeting sinful pleasure and the pride of life.
