Oh To Be Wise Meditations
My flesh wants to throw the first stone. But when I see the hands and feet of my Savior. I drop to my knees as I drop the first stone to the ground. Oh LORD, I desire mercy and forgiveness. Vengeance is yours alone! There are people that have offended me that you still want to bring into the Kingdom by the power of your love! My heart is in this Scripture: Romans 2:1- You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? God is good to us because he wants us to turn to him daily. Leaving offense behind even at a loss to us. Think about this: When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. They commit hundreds of crimes and live a long time, in spite of the saying: Everyone who lives right and respects God will prosper, but no one who sins and rejects God will prosper or live very long. The wicked will not prosper, for they do not fear God. Their days will never grow long like the evening shadows.
