The Devil once took Jesus to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in all their greatness. He said to him, "I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship me." Jesus told him, "Go away, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve only Him." You know come to think of it, Jesus took the Devil to very high place as well. From the view of the Cross while suspended in midair, I can hear him say, it is finished! He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Jesus says, all the kingdoms of the world in all their greatness are mine! I will not throw myself from this Cross lest the angels save me. Man will not eat from bread alone, they will eat my body that I freely give as ransom. In victory he lead evil away as captive, it was a glorious procession and celebration. The crown was placed while on the Cross. But on resurrection morning the devil was placed at Christ footstool. All Hail King Jesus! Worship him, the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
