Oh To Be Wise Meditations
You may say in your heart, 'My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth. Gave me this house, gave me this car. My bank account is full because of my wisdom and hard work. It is the flesh that says, because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me great blessings. Do not be fooled in your heart by riches, when we are drunk with power we make weak decisions. When I feel like stuffing up my barns so high with things and sitting on top of it in peace. I become so prideful that I treat God like my genie. Asking for things and keeping things that ruin my heart and mind. Lord, I think about Adam and Eve who needed nothing, not even clothes for covering. They were naked and not ashamed. Let me not get so puffed up that I forget to bless your hand that feeds me. I should feel naked and ashamed if I am adorned with every earthly thing, but not clothed with the love of Christ. Everything I have is because God gave it to me. And if he gave to me its because of his grace. I will boast of all the righteous things Christ has done in my life. His power in me makes me strong.
