Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Because God has given us these precious promises. We should stay away from everything that keeps our bodies and spirits from being clean. We should honor God and try to be completely like him. Perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Having a hope in Christ that purifies us just as He is pure. Jesus has made these promises come true, putting his seal of ownership on us by giving us the Spirit as his guarantee. For all God's promises are "Yes" in him. And so through him we can say "Amen," to the glory of God. Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? Surely there is no righteous man on earth who does good and never sins. But God has blotted out our transgressions like a cloud, and our sins are like a mist. He says to return to Him, for He has redeemed us. God has bought us at a high price, with the royal blood of Christ. So honor God with your body knowing that His Promise is in you, the Holy Spirit! You are not your own when you came to faith in Christ, you have become a temple for the promises of God to be glorified. Lord, this is to wonderful for me to understand. Your presence inside this sinful body comforts me. I know that you are changing my heart and conforming to your image. Like the thief on the Cross, I hear you say to me, "you will be with me in paradise." Oh Lord, having you in my life is paradise. Meditate 1 Peter 1:18
