Oh To Be Wise Meditations

This physical life. Our life is short, we know nothing at all; we pass like shadows across the earth. Humanity is like a breath; their days are like a passing shadow. Lord, as water wears away stones and torrents wash away the soil from the land, so you destroy a man's hope. Life can be so good for awhile, treasure can be stacked up so high as far as the eye can see. In time though, through trial and circumstance, all plans wither and fade away. This physical life we have, if its all we live for will disappoint us. Everything around is dying and eroding over time. Yes things do evolve but we as humans are not around long enough to see it come to pass. Generations come and go but nothing is new under the sun. Wisdom does increase, but with that wisdom comes the need for more morality. The need for more restrain, the need for more understanding and grace. There is not enough hope found here on earth for eternity. While humanity is very resilient able to endure throughout the centuries and not destroy itself yet. If your hope is in this life you are missing the other essential element that is unseen. You are missing spiritual life, the life behind the shadows that pass away. The Spirit is the one who gives life! Human strength can do nothing. The words that Jesus has spoken to humanity are from that life-giving Spirit. We have a higher consciousness than the animals and creatures of this world. Seeing more than the just the physical, we have inner turmoil of believing in the spiritual. This topic can be for another day, but think about how real spiritual life can be. It can make sense out of the physical life we see. Before we believed in Jesus our spiritual lives were dead. we only cared about the physical life. Jesus has come to give us life, abundant spiritual life.He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Meditate 2 Cor. 3:17
