Oh To Wise Meditations

What kind of power is available in Christ? Is it magical power? Is a personal gift for every person to do whatever they think is right?  Kind of like a marvel superhero with special powers? Or is it just words spoken that have no impact in day to day victory? For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. Christ gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Sins power is instant gratification followed by a slow destruction of soul. Righteous power is renewing and transformational. Restoring life into a dead heart. This power available to us is more than being a social warrior. More than the power of words to get your will done whenever you want it. It is the very presence of God in us working through our submitted lives to Holy Spirit. There is one Spirit available to the body of Christ that gives you the power to overcome like Jesus overcame. God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. We have everything we need for life and godliness. This power of God is not for show, but its the personal relationship with Christ that shows its true strength. The world cannot understand this. It is drunk with pride and the power it seeks is dark and corrupted. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. The mystery of the Gospel has been revealed, the power for righteous living is found in Christ Jesus our Lord. We can have victory now and in the the future. If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. The power many have looked for is self seeking and self willed. But the power of the Gospel has always been found in the love of Christ. It is for redemption and santification available for the poorest of souls. Find power living in the truth. You will be set free from the bondage of sin and live in everlasting power and love.
