Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Forgiveness runs deep for the believer in Christ. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. The blood on the doorposts of Israelite homes were a mark for life instead of death. The angel of death would pass over them on that dreadful day in Egypt. We now now know that the Passover Lamb that Israel sacrificed in tradition, foreshadowed Jesus Himself. The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! We are sealed by Holy Spirit for life and the blood of our sins is not against us. We are redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to us from our ancestors. We have been justified by the blood of Christ, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him! We are marked for life by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, sacrificed for us. Forgiveness runs deep to the Christian, is the core of our story and testimony as a follower of Christ. We are to celebrate this redemption by honoring God through communion. The bread for his body and the wine for his blood. Jesus has overcome so we can overcome in this life. Day by day, growing in a faith relationship with Jesus, forgiveness will do its perfect in you. This is something we must face even unto death. Praise God though, for we have eternal life because of the shedding of blood. And this blood by God's very own Son. Forgiveness runs deep.
