Battle prayer notes 5/12/23
Good morning brother,
Day three theme and topic: John 17:1-3
And this is eternal life: To know the Son. To know Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Christ transforming us. How can we find spirit and life in Jesus the Son? If we believe in Him, He says we will never die. Our bodies are decaying but our spirits are being renewed for eternity. What does it mean to know the Son?
We believe in the Father. We know the Son. We receive the Holy Spirit.
We need Jesus to understand the mystery of God.
Jesus lived 33 years on this world to testify to the truth of God in heaven.
The Sun is millions of miles away and burns extremely hot. Yet here on earth the Sun provides us comfort and warmth. Jesus provides that for us about God.
Jesus is The Son of God! The only begotten of the Father.
Jesus became a man so that I might now him here on earth.
He was called a Son so that we might also be called sons of God.
Jesus modeled for us everything we need to live as a son.
Jesus is bread of life. He is standard of Righteousness for all nations.
[Luk 5:24 NKJV] 24 "But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"--He said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
[1Jo 5:20 NLT] 20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:1-3
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12
Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me. He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me— God sends forth his love and his faithfulness. Psalms 57:1-3
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1
Many of us know Jesus the super hero of all super heroes!
God is holy and high above us. Jesus came to our world to be Emmanuel God with us.
Jesus has the power to forgive sins. Supernatural power to change lives by the power of his love.
No Jesus no peace. Know Jesus Know Peace.
Through hope we have that peace by knowing Jesus.
We know that God’s *Son, Jesus Christ has come to this world. God chose him and sent him here. And he has shown us what God is really like. Jesus has made us God’s people now. This God is real. He has given us the *Life that never ends. v21 My children, do not *worship anything that is not really God.
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.”
Galatians 4:4-5
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:17
Because we are legally sons, God gives us the experience of sons.”
Even now, Jesus is training an army of special forces to lead in this final mission of rescuing God's children, who have become Satan's prisoners of war. Revelation 14:4 proclaims of the 144,000: "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth."
If we desire to be among those who follow the Lamb throughout eternity, we must first learn to follow Him here, now. Then together we can sing the song of Moses and the Lamb.
Read Matthew 20:1-16
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. 2 He agreed to pay them a denarius[a] for the day and sent them into his vineyard.
3 “About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. 4 He told them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.’ 5 So they went.
“He went out again about noon and about three in the afternoon and did the same thing. 6 About five in the afternoon he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’
7 “‘Because no one has hired us,’ they answered.
“He said to them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard.’
When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’ “The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius. So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.’ “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.””
Matthew 20:8-16
The parable of workers getting paid. Some got paid early in the day others get paid the same even if they work later in the day.
There are many you received eternal life after years of slavery and sin. We who got paid early experience eternal life knowing Him Jesus as LORD.
So many say yes and are saved at the end of their lives. They got paid late the same way we got paid early. Eternal life is the just the reward. The gift of eternal life is Jesus now.
That is crazy thing about Judgment that he willing that no one should perish. Waiting for all to repent. Even at the end of the day God is handing out eternal life. Though many lived a live of sin and debt. Now even on their death bed. God is offering eternal life through the shed blood of Christ Jesus our LORD. They got paid with eternal life at the end of earthly life and now get to spend eternity to know who Jesus is. We get to have experience as sons now.
Now, the word crying — crying, “Abba! Father!” — doesn’t mean lament. I mean, in English, the word cry so often has been connected with weep. That’s not the meaning here. This is a cry of joy — unspeakable joy. It’s the same word used when the children back in the Gospel said, “Hosanna to the son of David!” (Matthew 21:15). They were crying that, and that’s the way we should hear the word crying here — not weeping, but crying, “Hosanna! Father! Abba! I can’t believe I’m a child.”
That’s the spirit of this cry. And the word abba is the Aramaic word used by Jesus himself in speaking to his Father in Mark 14:36. When Paul chooses to use this Aramaic word, taken over into Greek — it isn’t a Greek word — he takes it straight over and transliterates it in Greek as abba. When he does that, he makes clear that we are being drawn into the very experience of the Son of God. The Son of God called his Father, “Abba! Father!” and that word stuck with the early church because the Holy Spirit creates the very experience of the Son of God toward his Father in our heart so that we are sensing the same kinship with God that the Son of God has as our elder brother in the family.
Thank you for another great day of Zoom Battle Prayer.
