Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Faith is something we constantly must be increasing in. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the Law, or because you hear and believe? I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? We have to allow the word of Christ to richly dwell within us as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as we sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. I compare this to leaving your shoes outside the porch exposed to the elements. Then just putting them on in just blind faith hoping that no critter or spider has made a home inside. The right thing to do is to increase your faith. Go ahead and check inside and out, have the confidence in knowing you are safe from doubt. So many people have blind faith and lose it very quickly to doubt and circumstance. We must not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. Lets get deeps roots of faith in scripture so we can have the confidence we need for this new life we are called to live. Putting on shoes of peace having built that trust in God by thoroughly searching out scripture. And its not a blind faith, but a faith that is on increase. Growing everyday because of our passionate pursuit of Christ and His word, amen.
