Oh To Be Wise Meditations
The more sin you are in the less you believe in God. You have allowed sin and its desires to run rampant in your life. Causing you to doubt even the very existence of God. That is what sin does, separating us from the presence of God that we so desperately need. Sin becomes our way of life instead of the way of Christ. Sure may believe that there is evil and there is good. But you need the presence of Holy Spirit to truly know Jesus. May we not so grieve the Holy Spirit that we lose the life we have found in Christ. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. Sin is costing us growth in our relationship with God. And if we allow this separation to widen we will lose our hope in God. Part of not sinning is not only to be Holy like God is, but to keep our spirits free to connect with Holy Spirit. There is so much Jesus wants to pour into us, if only we would take a stand against sin in our lives. I'm not talking about perfection, I'm talking about maturity in our faith. Letting go of our sinful ways and practicing righteousness more. Overcome evil desires with good. Free yourself from guilt and walk today in the newness of life Jesus offers. Many of us stay in our sins because we swallow guilt and pride. No, we must walk with our head up towards the heavens waiting for his blessings to come. He will send his grace always to those who need it. My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.
