Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Some people live in fear their whole lives. Never being able to taste freedom for themselves, they hold back others in the process. Fear creates a bondage that God never intended for humanity to bear. And the greatest of all fears is death. The fear of the unknown and what is waiting on the other side. God has taken out that guess work through the Cross and Resurrection of Christ. Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Jesus has conquered the grave and all power has been given to Him. Giving us His Spirit as a remedy for sin and death. Making us not timid, but giving us power, love and self-discipline. Because Jesus lives, and lives in us we can have victory over all fear. Easier said than done. This is why we need personal relationship with Jesus. Growth in his presence. Fear will leave as we have real fear for the LORD. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” We face death every day. We face great and horrible fears daily. But we know that Christ has conquered all. In Him we are more than conquerors means so much more. Let’s face our fears different than before. Lets face then knowing Jesus is with us, and Holy Spirit lives in us. There is no fear in love, let us love the LORD fearlessly.
