Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Pursuing people. Doing ministry all these years has shown me that people like to be pursued even though they say they don‘t. We are the 99 sheep and there is the one lost sheep that is rambling through life alone. A rambling sheep doesn’t realize he is lost until he gets stuck in sin. Don’t want to be bothered and want to be left alone until they get caught in a thicket. Even though people push away from others, God never strays away from his people. He is always waiting for repentance and has the 99 ready to meet lost sheep where there at. Jesus is always pursuing people, even if they are not pursuing Him. As part of the 99 we have to keep our hearts pure from negative thoughts towards lost sheep. It’s so easy to write people off and not care for them, by judging the way they live there life. We must be ready to share our faith, our testimony when God brings lost sheep our way. They could be far from home, but home is where the heart is. And we can share a piece of the Fathers heart that we have in us to a Lost Soul and have them be found. Pursing people is what a Christians do. We are called to be fishers of men in such a large sea of people looking to be caught up with purpose and meaning. LORD as I pursue you help me to pursue others as Holy Spirit leads us all to your fold.
