Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Water Crisis. You don’t realize how much you need water until you don’t have it. Like food it’s a necessity for life. Without water you are really in trouble and it comes really fast. Think about it. You need it for cooking. You need it for taking a shower. You need it for flushing a toilet. You need it for your coffee or tea. You need it for your basic thirst. And you need it clean as well. Pure drinking water so you don’t get sick. In our need for water it shows us our need for God and his provision. Even in the wilderness God provided for the people of Israel. Supernaturally he rained down food and lead them to water. As a society God expects humanity to care for one another and provide for each other. Generosity will be rewarded: Give a cup of water, and you will receive a cup of water in return. But the world has their ways and so does God. Gods way is through Christ and His Body. Yes, He could rain down provision but He has His Body, His Church that are his hands and feet. Amazing how we can be water to each other and encourage one other with our spiritual gifts. Not having water is a crisis. But not having someone to help is even worse. What a crisis and deep sadness to have no one in your life to give you a simple cup of pure encouragement. Jesus says even a cup of water in his name is doing it for Him. If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I tell you the truth, that person will surely be rewarded. Let’s be water today for someone. And for those who need actual clean water today, May Gods Hands and Feet provide it always.
