Oh To Be Wise Meditations.

Barbarians within the gates destroy a city, a nation. People that just want to destroy and just move the ancient landmarks set by forefathers hoping we would not forget them. Just destruction is their answer for anything. There is no rhyme or reason, no solution or sound doctrine. By division they conquer and destroy the building blocks of civilizations. Are you contributing to the downfall of society? Your job is not to ask God to burn it all down. But to be pillars of faith, salt and light in a lost world. Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames. When the righteous thrive, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy. When the righteous flourish, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. LORD, let me be a light to my city, my nation. Tear down the altars of sin in our hearts and help us to lift and build a righteous nation once again.
