Oh To Be Wise Meditations
It's not the one with all the fruit that has success and wealth. It's the one that has all the seeds that has all the potential and security. Very tempting to want to be the one with all the fruits and baskets full. But the one with the seeds has everything needed for growth and prosperity. So, it is with those who trust in God's word. We have the incorruptible seed of Christs promises living in us. Jesus is the Living Word and the Great Vine. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the Sower and bread for the eater, so is the Living Word that goes out from The LORDs mouth: It will not return to Him empty, but will accomplish what He desires and achieves the purpose for which He sent it. Thank you, Jesus for the precious seeds of your Living Word. You have filled me with the fruit of your Holy Spirit, and I have left your presence full of your praises! But I glory in the seed of your Word in my heart that never fades but endures forever. I love holding the seeds of your Word in my hands. I use your seeds not just for planting and rooting in my life. I have so much faith in your Word that I lather in prayer over everything in my life. The seed of your Word is in everything I eat and do, it's like a multigrain bread with extra seeds that spill all over a table. Yes, whether I eat or drink or whatever I do, I do it all for the glory of God. These seeds of faith are my greatest and personal wealth. God's Word and presence is my greatest reward.
