Oh To Wise Meditations
Everyone is suffering. Everyone has something they are personally dealing with. How each person processes what they are dealing with affects the person they are and want to be. Suffering is apart of this world and if your not going through something now, you soon will be. God knows how to use your suffering for good. The world has not understood this, how light can come from darkness. How joy can come in the morning, even though there was weeping through the night. Godly suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. The Lord has allowed sin in this world to take its course, which is death. But in death God is able to do his most perfect work. Through Christ death and resurrection humanity can have meaning for their suffering. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God,stricken by him, and afflicted. The world despises suffering and hates the thought that God would allow evil. But God's remedy for sin and suffering is different from what the world wants. Jesus bore the shame of sinful humanity and suffered death on a Cross. He dealt with suffering head on instead of hitting the reset button. Everyone is suffering. The earth is groaning in travail and everything in it. The apostle Paul says, I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Getting to know God in the person of Jesus is truly a glory that is being revealed to the sons and daughters of God. A precious relationship with the Son of God, who knew no sin and became sin for us, suffering on a Cross. Strangely and supernaturally, the person that trust in Christ as Lord sees a change in their heart and life. Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Through the example of Christ our sufferings on earth have less importance. Knowing God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit means more than anything else. Looking forward to the day where suffering will be wiped away from my eyes by Jesus Himself. That is a living hope worth holding onto.
