Faith is a journey all have taken, those before and after the Cross. Our hope is that God will put us right with him; and this is what we wait for by the power of God's Spirit working through our faith in Jesus. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. It was their faith that made our ancestors pleasing to God. All our ancestors of the faith died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. Even now the harvest workers are receiving their reward by gathering a harvest that brings eternal life. Then everyone who planted the seed and everyone who harvests the crop will celebrate together. In this respect the saying is true: 'One person sows, and another person harvests.' Jesus says to his disciples, I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.” The prophets of old planted the seeds of Messiah, and now the Gospel of Christ is being harvested unto eternal life. Jesus needs people to work for him today. A people glad to do His Will. They get good wages because God rewards them. Good wages does not refer to money in particular. It refers to any of God’s blessings. All the workers are happy at the same time, because it is always time for the harvest. We may tell someone about Jesus. At that time, it is as if we are sowing a seed. We have to wait for a seed to grow. But we do not always have to wait for people to believe in Jesus. There are people who are ready to believe immediately. We must not miss any opportunity to share the good news about Jesus. The gift of Faith has been planted in you so that you would reap in the knowledge of God our Father and the LORD Jesus Christ! To know Him is to have eternal life.
