In A Dream. Then Solomon awoke and he realized it had been a dream. At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. What a thought, that God can speak to humanity even in our dreams. In the past God spoke to our ancestors at many different times and in many different ways through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. Speak to me my LORD Jesus. Yes, ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. I daydream of seeing your radiance face before me, but how wonderful the thought to see you in my dreams. I know daydreaming comes when there are too many worries. Careless speaking comes when there are too many words. Like Joseph's brothers said of Joseph, Here comes that dreamer. I am a dreamer LORD, but let me not be like the ungodly who on the strength of there dreams pollute their own bodies, who defile the flesh, reject Lordship and slander The Glory. God gave four young men knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds. It is the spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds. He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings. He makes them turn from doing wrong; he keeps them from pride. He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death. For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices. In a dream my LORD you find my heart. I can't stop dreaming about you.
