Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
Let the poor person be glad because God values then. And he will make them great. Their hope for the future is in God. The word poor can mean humble and weak as well as poor in the goods of this world. Praise God, they can have joy and satisfaction in the fact that they are rich with God. They belong to Christ and, with him, they have a place of high honour. They are children of God, who owns all things. God has given them new respect and worth. They know that they are of great value to God. So, they can be happy because of that. God has chosen them and will raise them up to new life. Then they will no longer be poor and weak. They will receive from God all that he has promised to those who love him. They will be with Christ for all time and they will share with him the riches of heaven. Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him. Those who give to the poor will lack nothing because they have gained Christ. But those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.
