You can't live how you want and still expect victory over your wicked desires. Sin needs to be put to death. After all, your body is bound to die, why should you let your new heart follow along with it? The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. It's for this reason we don't obey our fleshly desires or let any part of our bodies become a slave of evil. We give ourselves to God as people who have been raised from death to life. Making every part of our body a slave that pleases God. So do not let sin control the way you live, and do not give in to sinful desires. Don't you know that you are slaves of anyone you obey? You can be slaves of sin and die, or you can be obedient slaves of God and be acceptable to him. Many think they have freedom only to find out that they soon crumble under the weight of evil temptation. Its due time we start practicing righteousness and start pursuing the discipline of God's word. And you can't do this on your own. You need total dependence on a daily personal relationship with Christ. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one but Christ by his blood.
