Show some understanding. You simple people, use good judgment. You foolish people, show some understanding. Knowing what to do and actually doing it are two different things. It's the difference between knowledge and wisdom. And the actual want to is called understanding. So many people have gained knowledge and can apply in wisdom. But they still have no concept for the moment or even giving the harsh truth in love. See, how the LORD has given us his Living Word to live in the blessing of his inheritance for us. Yes, keeping them and doing them, for that is our wisdom and our understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, ‘Surely these Christians are a wise and understanding people.’ We need Jesus to open up our minds to understand the Scriptures. Ask God to make you thirsty for knowledge, an appreciation for applying wisdom, and a sensible heart that shows understanding.
