Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
We always think about a fathers love calling his lost son home. But imagine with me the blessing of having a good mother in the home. Who raises her children in the LORD. Nurturing and teaching early in age from her breast to full grown adults from her heart. Yes, preparing her children's hearts early in the ways of the LORD in the only way God has called her to do. A training in righteousness that as children get older they do not depart from it. Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What a blessing when children do not scorn obedience to their mother and learn Gods heart with a mothers tender love.
Picture with me a good mother giving her son away in marraige with confidence because she knows she cared for him at home. Wiping smudges off his face as well as rebuking bad tendencies and character. She cries and wants to cling to her children that she has nurtured all her life. But she lets go knowing the commandment and she has joy in seeing her children having favor with God and man. She stands proud giving kisses of approval on there cheek and forehead. Oh how beautiful is our Heavenly Fathers heart through the eyes of a mother. He gives his born again children fresh spiritual milk from which early they wean from to grow strong in spirit and life. Then maturing to solid food in the faith and in the newness of life. The Spirit of Christ softly and tenderly instructs us as we learn obedience and surrender to Gods will. A wise son brings joy to his Heavenly Father and you can see it reflected on his earthly mothers face.
